Theme Registration

To be able to register an academic work topic, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a Master’s or Integrated Master’s programme with the status “Enrolled”

  • Be registered in the Dissertation, Project Work, or Internship course unit

  • Be enrolled in the 2nd year (Master’s) or 5th year (Integrated Master’s)

It is essential that students include the full supervision team during the registration process to avoid cancellation or rejection.

To create and submit an academic work, the student must provide the initial information (Topic title in Portuguese and English) and the supervision team (at least one supervisor is mandatory).

Creating an Academic Work

The student can create an academic work by going to the “Student” section and selecting “Academic Works”.




Then, click “Register”.

 
 
Fill in the required information and click “Create”.
 
 
 

Theme Registration

After creating the academic work, go to the “Theme Registry” tab in the detailed view of the work. Click “Edit” to enter the topic information.

Fill in the topic title in Portuguese(PT) and English(EN). Then click “Save” to confirm the changes.

 

Adding the Orientation Team

Next, add the orientation team by selecting :

“Add Participant”

 
 

Enter the advisor’s name and specify whether they are internal or external. Finally, click on “Search.”

Select the participant from the list by clicking on “Select.”

Then, choose a function and click on “Create“.

 

Note:

In Fénix+, students do not create supervisor accounts themselves but may request their creation.

If the advisor you wish to indicate does not appear in the list(s), you must request the creation of an account by selecting the button “Request advisor creation” or “Request co-advisor creation ”.

 
 
Then confirm your request by clicking on “Yes“.
 
 
 
Fill in the requested information for the Advisor.
 

At this stage, you must upload a PDF document confirming the acceptance of the external advisor.

 

When finished, click on “submit”.

 

Note: Students will be notified by the system in case of a rejection (by the supervisor, by the academic services/scientific committee, or due to missing supervisory team members).
