Registration/Enrollment Process
Important Note: When accessing this area, the information displayed depends on each student’s academic status. You may see a registration process that has yet to begin or is currently ongoing, find no available process (message: “There are currently no ongoing registration processes”), or the process may have already been completed. Any of these situations is perfectly normal and varies depending on the current status of your enrollment/registration.
To begin your enrollment process, from the ‘Student’ menu, select the option “Enrollment Processes”.
Then, click “Start Enrollment Process“:

If the start enrollment process button is disabled, hover your mouse over it to see the reason for its deactivation.
The summary of the steps to follow will be displayed.
Click the “Next Step” button:
Fill in all complementary information.
At the end, click “Save” followed by “Next Step”.
You will then be asked to confirm your tax information.
If the information is correct, tick the checkbox.
Click “Next Step” or “Previous Step” to return to the previous step.
Next, verify and fill in your household and employment details.
Use the arrow on the right of dropdown menus to scroll through options. Click “Save”.
When finished, click “Next Step”.
Fill in all the required complementary information regarding your academic background.
Click “Next Step” to proceed.
On the next screen, upload proof of address and a scanned copy of your identification document.
To do this, select “Forms”, then “Documents for Enrollment”.
In the window that opens, upload the required documents.
After ensuring you have uploaded the correct files, close the window and click “Submit” on the previous screen.
Note: This action is irreversible, even using the “Previous Step” button. After submission, proceed to the next step.
Next, provide information about your qualifications prior to admission to ISCTE, and click “Save”. Then click “Next Step”.
In this step, you may request Special Educational Needs (SEN) status.
Fill in all mandatory information and click “Submit” and “Next Step”
Confirm your submission.
You can view the request in myFenix → Services → Requisitions.
On this screen, you can view Enrollment instructions.
Confirm in your study plan whether your course and year require electives. Proceed to the next step.
In this step, select your class according to your course timetable, then click “Next Step”.
View the Curricular Units (CUs) for each semester and choose the corresponding electives.
You can switch between semesters using the top-right corner or repeat the steps for both semesters.
- If your programme includes conditional options, proceed as follows:
- If not already enrolled, click “Enroll”, then click “Enrol Optional”.

After clicking “Enrol Optional”, in the window that opens, select the semester in which you wish to enroll.
- Click “Select” for the desired CU.
- If the CU does not have a shift assigned, click on “Shifts” and select one.
When selecting enrol free optional button, in the window that opens, choose your course and the curricular units in which you wish to enroll.
On this screen, choose the class group, taking into account possible lessons overlaps.
You may check for conflicts in the notification message below. Click “Save”.
After completing all the steps and enrolling in all necessary CUs for the academic year, click “Next Step” to continue.
Confirm that the total number of enrolled ECTS credits matches the required amount.
If not, click the “Previous Step” button and complete any missing enrollments.
Then click “Next Step”.
If at Step 12 there is an alert for CUs without a shift, click “Previous Step” and assign the missing shift.
On the next screen, the Curricular Units you are enrolled in will be displayed.
This screen is for informational purposes only. Proceed to the next step.
On the following screen, you will be asked to authorize ISCTE to share certain data with Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD), the institution responsible for issuing your student card.
If you do not wish to open a CGD account, select the first option.
Otherwise, select the option on the right.
Once completed, click “Next Step”.
You will be shown the tuition fee information.
Take note and click “Next Step”.
Lastly, click “Confirm” to finalize your registration, then click “Finish” to download the Enrollment Certificate.
Do not forget to activate your ISCTE account to access institutional systems.

If you are a first-time student, you will be redirected to the ISCTE-IUL account activation page.
After activation, you must complete a short survey. This survey is mandatory.
If you do not fill it out immediately, you will receive periodic reminders.
You may complete it later via “myFénix → Services → Surveys”.
Note: If you are not registering for the first time and have pending grades, you must contact your school to ensure they are posted.
